-Therapies We Use-

Red Light Therapy

We use Red Light Therapy as a safe, non-invasive treatment to support healing, reduce pain and inflammation, and improve cellular function. Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light that penetrate the skin and underlying tissues to stimulate the body’s natural repair processes.

This light energy helps increase circulation, enhance cellular energy production, and support tissue recovery at a deeper level. Red light therapy may help with muscle and joint pain, inflammation, stiffness, injury recovery, and overall wellness by promoting healthier cellular activity. It is often used alongside chiropractic care and other therapies to support faster healing and improved function.

Electric Muscle Stimulation (E-Stim)

Muscle stimulation therapy, or e-Stim, is a therapeutic treatment that applies electrical stimulation to treat pain and muscle spasms. At Duncan Chiropractic Health Center, LLC we use this therapy to help build strength and prevent atrophy in patients with muscle injuries.

Myofascial Release

We offer an alternative medicine therapy called myofascial release that is used for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain. Myofascial release therapy is a hands-on treatment that utilizes gentle, sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to relax contracted muscles, improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulates the stretch reflex in muscles.

Intersegmental Traction

At Duncan Chiropractic Health Center, LLC we use intersegmental traction as a gentle, non-invasive therapy to help relieve back and neck pain, improve spinal mobility, and support overall spinal health. Intersegmental traction uses a motorized table with rolling movements that slowly glide along the spine, creating a mild stretching and mobilizing effect between each spinal segment.

This rhythmic motion helps reduce muscle tension, increase circulation to the spinal joints and discs, and promote proper movement of the spine. By improving blood flow and flexibility, intersegmental traction supports healing, helps prepare the spine for chiropractic adjustments, and can enhance long-term comfort and function.

Cervical Traction

We use cervical traction as a gentle, non-invasive therapy to help relieve neck pain, stiffness, headaches, and nerve-related symptoms that can travel into the shoulders, arms, or hands. Cervical traction works by carefully stretching the neck to reduce pressure on the cervical spine, discs, and surrounding nerves.

By creating space between the vertebrae, cervical traction helps decrease nerve compression, reduce muscle tension, and improve circulation to the neck and upper spine. This allows irritated tissues to calm, supports proper spinal alignment, and can improve mobility and comfort. Cervical traction is often used alongside chiropractic adjustments and other therapies to support healing and promote long-term neck health.

Therapeutic Ultrasound

Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves above the range of human hearing to interact with tissues in the body that are either modified or destroyed. It creates a deep heat and increases the blood flow to the area being treated to help reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation.

Trigger Point Therapy

The use of massage for trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries. Pressure is applied to a trigger point long enough to release and relax the muscle. This increases blood flow to the muscle to allow normalization and bring it back to a health state.

-Chiropractic Techniques We Use-

Thompson Drop Technique

The Thompson Drop Technique is a gentle chiropractic method that uses a specially designed table with drop-away sections. As the chiropractor applies a precise adjustment, the table drops slightly to assist the movement of the joint. This allows for effective spinal correction with less force, making it comfortable for patients who prefer a lighter approach, including those with disc issues, joint stiffness, or sensitivity to manual adjustments.

Diversified Technique

Diversified chiropractic technique is one of the most commonly used and well-known adjustment methods. It involves precise, hands-on adjustments designed to restore proper joint movement and alignment in the spine and extremities. The goal of Diversified technique is to improve mobility, reduce nerve irritation, and support overall spinal function. Patients often notice improved movement and decreased pain following care.

Gonstead Technique

The Gonstead Technique is a highly specific chiropractic approach that focuses on identifying the exact area of spinal dysfunction. This technique uses detailed assessment methods, including posture analysis, motion palpation, and imaging when appropriate, to deliver precise adjustments. Gonstead adjustments are designed to restore normal joint movement while minimizing stress to surrounding tissues, supporting long-term spinal stability and nerve health.

Activator Technique

The Activator Technique uses a small handheld instrument to deliver a gentle, controlled impulse to specific areas of the spine or joints. This method allows for precise adjustments without twisting or manual force. Activator is especially helpful for patients who prefer a low-force approach, including children, older adults, or individuals with acute pain, arthritis, or previous spinal surgery.
